Recent Activities - Colonial Plantation

The Colonial Pennsylvania Plantation is an authentic living history site located in the heart of Ridley Creek State Park, Edgmont Township, Delaware County, Pennsylvania. Operating under a lease arrangement with the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, the Plantation is dedicated to educating visitors about the world of an ordinary farm family living in 18th century southeastern Pennsylvania.

The 11th Pennsylvania Regiment has been fortunate to have been extended an invitation to come and play on their vast estate.  We came, we set up camp, we battled the enemy and the elements.  Although the rain came with the nightfall and managed to turn the floors of our tents into running rivers, we had a great time none the less.  We look forward to going back and foster a great relationship with this historic site.
