From Philadelphia: Take the NE Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike towards Scranton, then continue on  Route 81 North.  At Binghamton, NY, switch to State Route 17 West for approximately 54 miles.  About three miles East of Elmira, follow the signs on the right into the Newtown Battlefield Reservation.  Driving time is approximately four and a half hours.
