FORT EDWARD, NY (SARATOGA BATTLEFIELD)

Directions :  The Battle of Saratoga site is approximately 50 minutes north of Albany , NY .  It is southeast of the Village of Fort Edward, just 1-mile off Route 4 on County Road 46.

From Philadelphia: Take the Pennsylvania Turnpike East into New Jersey, then onto the New Jersey Turnpike (I-95 North).

At Exit 11, Perth Amboy, switch over to the Garden State Parkway (also a toll road).

Take Exit 14A and switch to I-87 North, the New York State Thruway.  Stay on this road until Exit 24 at Albany , NY.

The New York State Thruway continues West, you want to switch over to Interstate 87 North (Adirondack Northway).

Continue north to Exit 17 and switch onto Route 9 North (Saratoga Road).  Continue North on Route 9 to the intersection of Route 197 (Reynolds Road).

Turn RIGHT onto Route 197.  Continue east on Route 197 until you cross the Hudson River into Fort Edward .

Turn RIGHT onto Route 4 South.  Continue South on Route 4, out of Fort Edward (do NOT get back on Route 197), over the Champlain Canal to the intersection of County Road 46.

Take a LEFT onto County Road 46, the event site is about 1 mile on the left.

The Approximate driving time from Center City is 5 hours 45 minutes.
