Specifics of the Incident:  Mother approaches registration table and notes wanted poster of the dreaded Captain John Bacon.  Unknown man, standing next to poster with back to mother, eats non-period sausage link squeezed between two pieces of formed bread, coated with various red, yellow and green toppings, while drinking fizzing non-18th century beverage from a thin-skinned, metallic container.  Mother points out picture of wanted man to children, suggesting they keep an eye out for him.

Reenactor, watching this exchange, approaches mother and notices that the unknown man, with back still to mother and children, looks vaguely familiar.  Mother says hair looks similar to man in poster.  Reenactor calls to unknown man, uttering "Hey Mister."

The unknown man slowly turns around to reveal his face, which bears an uncanny resemblance to the man in the wanted poster, and smiles.

Look of dread and utter disdain crosses both children's faces as recognition sets in ... this man IS the dreaded Loyalist, John Bacon.

Mother urges children forward to capture said John Bacon for the reward.

     Children take two steps forward.

     John Bacon growls at them.

Children quickly take three steps back (they would have retreated further, but stopped abruptly as they tried to pass through mother.

Children quickly grab mother by hand and suggest a strategic relocation to another part of the park ... preferably the OTHER side of the park.

     Mother and children leave, quickly.

The dreaded Loyalist Captain John Bacon returns to his victuals.
